Statement from Somalia Ministry of Minerals and Energy


In reference to the misguided and ill informed action of some compatriots, our Ministry should like to offer the following clarification with the regards to the exploitation and development of Somali natural resources, specifically hydrocarbon and mineral resources.

As the TFG is the ONLY internationally recognized representative of the Somali people, constituted as the Somali Republic by the UN, the management of natural resources falls within our constitutinal duty. READ FULL PRESS RELEASE [*PDF format]
