Somali MP’s accuses Speaker for Unconstitutional interference


Several Somali’s lawmaker accuses Somali speaker, Sharif Hassan Sheikh Aden for unconstitutional meddled in an affair which does not correspond to his work, Radio Garowe Reports.

Legislators Suleman  M. Ibrahim and Abdulle Farah Hirsi accuses the speaker for planning to appoint new Cabinet ministers for his on mission.

“The speaker playing tactic against the president for appointing new Cabinets, this also affected us indirectly and he was the one who send the AU troops to cancelled yesterday’s  meeting organized by dozen Somali lawmakers,” said Farah Hirsi.

The MP’s claimed the house to have sessions constitutionally at least twice a week even if the speaker was unavailable.

“The speaker used AMISOM troops to cancel the meeting, if this continues, we will have our meeting another places,” Hirsi added.

However, Ibrahim vowed to Sharif Hassan that vote of confidence will be table if the speaker refused to approve the new cabinets Minister appointing by the newly Prime Minister, Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed.

Somali pro-government troops AMISOM cancelled a meeting organized by dozen Somali lawmakers include Suleman  M. Ibrahim and Abdulle Farah Hirsi on Wednesday in Somali capital of Mogadishu.

Corruption also became plague throughout Somalia’s weak government institutions, President Cabinet among them. A number of international reports accused the Somali government of being one of the most corrupt in the world.
 
The Horn of Africa country has lacked a functioning government since 1991, when warlords overthrew former dictator Mohamed Siad Barre.
