Several Somali lawmaker accuses Somali speaker, Sharif Hassan Sheikh Aden for unconstitutional approved the cabinet ministers in two days ago, Radio Garowe reports.
Out of the 343 legislators who attended the parliament session on Saturday, 251 voted the new cabinet and 92 voted to reject it.
But, the legislators opposes what they called ‘unconstitutional approval’, claimed that the speaker ruled prejudice.
“251 lawmakers endorsed in support of the Cabinet in a parliamentary session, out of 343 but our constitution read the vote should be reach 276,” said the MP Mohamed Muhiyadin, adding the Speaker unconstitutional meddled the law of the house.
Muhiyadin, who was among 92 MPs that voted against the new cabinet, vows that the vote of confidence will be table against the Speaker, urged the MP's to meet against him in the next session.
“The speaker playing tactic against us, he said 70 lawmakers was not present on that day but he lied,” the legislator added.
In recent week, Somali pro-government troops AMISOM cancelled a meeting organized by dozen Somali lawmakers in Somali capital of Mogadishu, which they accuse Sharif Hassan of behind of it.
Somalia's parliament has approved the government appointed by Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed, after recent weeks of disputes.
Corruption also became plague throughout Somalia's weak government institutions, President Cabinet among them. A number of international reports accused the Somali government of being one of the most corrupt in the world.
The Horn of Africa country has lacked a functioning government since 1991, when warlords overthrew former dictator Mohamed Siad Barre.
