Somalia: Govt forces open fire on civilian vehicle near Mogadishu, 2 killed

At least two people have been killed and two others injured after Somali government troops fired public vehicle at Mogadishu outskirts on Friday, Radio Garowe reports.

The government troops fired vehicle after the driver refused to obey the order or to stop.

"Somali government troops opened fire to the vehicle, two women were killed and two men injured, including the driver assistance," one of the passengers told Garowe Online.

The vehicle was Mini-bus that was en route from Mogadishu to Afgoye district about 30 km to the Somalia capital, the injured people were taken to the Madina hospital in Mogadishu.

"The gunmen wanted to raid the vehicle but the driver refused to stop it, this incident always happen in this road," said one of the drivers.

Somali government troops at Asluubta in the outskirt of the capital didn’t take any action from the police who fired the public vehicle. Anonymous gunmen always fire public vehicles that cross region to another and kill the passengers.
