Somalia: Nugal and Karkaar proceed to semifinals

GAROWE, Somalia Feb 7 2012 (Garowe Online) – Both Nugal and Karkaar proceed to semifinals after their wins against Haylan and Bari in Tuesday’s games, Radio Garowe reports.
Karkaar and Bari took the pitch in Garowe first, with the winner advancing to the semifinals and a tie would send Karkaar to the next round. The game was as tight as expected with both teams attacking relentlessly and completed most of their passes but Karkaar scored late in the first half.
Team Karkaar turned their attention to defense and held on to the one goal lead to end regulation time.
The next teams to take the Mire Awarre pitch were Nugal and Haylan, Nugal had already advanced to the semifinals and Haylan did not have a chance to proceed to the next round.
Team Haylan came out firing and striker Mohamed Deeq scored a goal in the second minute of play, but Nugal quickly countered and scored a goal to tie the game.
Nugal a faviroute in the Puntland games scored another 3 goals to wrap up the game 4-2.
