GAROWE, Somalia Jul 21 2012 (Garowe Online) – The Somali singer Saado Ali is in good condition after surviving a tragic accident while on her way to Garowe, Radio Garowe reports.
As hundreds lined the streets of Garowe to welcome the famous singer Saado Ali on Friday, they were unaware that Saado narrowly escaped with her life after the vehicle she was in crashed into a semi truck along the busy tarmac road 60 kms from Garowe.
Saado Ali landed at Galkayo airport Friday morning her first time returning to Somalia after 21 years, and headed to Garowe to take part in the Puntland assembly who will head to Mogadishu to vote on the proposed constitution.

Puntland President Abdirahman Mohamed Farole visited Saado at the Garowe general hospital where she was rushed to after her accident nearly 60 kms away from Garowe.
President Farole and many other Puntland officials met with Saado at the general hospital where she is being treated for minor injuries.
However there were two fatalities in the accident, Mohamed Ali Abdi a reporter from Taleh media was killed instantly and another reporter Jama Mohamed Nuur “Jeele” who was also on board the vehicle died later from his injuries.
Both were buried on Saturday in Garowe and hundreds came out to take part in the burial including officials from the Puntland government.
Doctors at the general hospital said that the driver of the vehicle is in critical condition and is currently in a coma.
