Somalia: TFG and Ethiopian troops en route to Bay & Bakool region

MOGADISHU, Somalia Feb 19 2012 (Garowe Online) - Ethiopian and Transitional Federal Government (TFG) troops were seen leaving the district of Luuq headed to Bay and Bakool, Garowe Online reports.
According to local sources the troops left Luuq on Saturday night which was a base for the allied forces after they had forced out Al Shabaab from the area earlier this year.
The troops according to local sources have set up in Bohol-Bashir a small town located in between Bay and Gedo region, witnesses say that the troops have more than 30 technical vehicles including some tanks.
Sources also told Garowe Online that Al Shabaab insurgents have been preparing for the imminent confrontation with their own vehicles taking defense positions.
