Ethiopian deputy PM holds discussion with Defense Army Members
ADDIS ABABA – Deputy Prime Minister Demeke Mekonnen has held a discussion with army members drawn from various departments of the Ministry of National Defense.
They raised questions related to their national responsibilities and duties, according to Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.
As citizens, questions of the armies should be taken into consideration and get practical responses, Demeke said.
The reform launched at a national level will also be strengthened in the defense sector as well, the Deputy Premier indicated.
A consultative forum will be organized to deal on issues that require further discussion, Demeke said, adding their questions will be resolved step by step in the future.
The army members for their parts pledged to discharge their responsibilities to make the ongoing reform a success.
They also met and held a discussion with Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed.
