MOGADISHU, Somalia - In a remarkable achievement, 37 outstanding students have emerged as the proud recipients of this year's Hormuud Salaam Foundation scholarships.

These students have clinched the top positions, securing the highest scores in a rigorously fair and transparent examination that saw 400 high school graduates from across the nation vying for the prestigious scholarship.

The Hormuud Salaam Foundation, known for its unwavering commitment to nurturing talent and promoting education, has once again reaffirmed its dedication to empowering Somalia's youth. With a vision to provide a brighter future for these young minds.

These gifted individuals will have the opportunity to enroll in their preferred universities and pursue their chosen faculties without the burden of financial constraints, thanks to the generosity of the Hormuud Salaam Foundation. Additionally, the foundation will go the extra mile by offering ongoing training sessions and equipping the students with laptops to facilitate their learning experience.

In August, last month Abdullahi Nur Osman, Chairman of the Hormuud Salaam Foundation, who addressed the students before their examination highlighted that this annual scholarship scheme was made possible through the generous sponsorship of Hormuud Telecom and Salaam Somali Bank, and it opens doors for Somali high school graduates who are unable to pay university fees due to financial hardship in pursuing further education at a higher level.

Ismail Yusuf Osman, the Director of the Higher Education Department at the Ministry of Education who attended the launch of this year's HSF scholarship, commended the transparent and fair manner in which the Hormuud Salaam Foundation conducted the scholarship examination. Furthermore, Director Ismail urged other companies to follow the inspiring example set by the Hormuud Salaam Foundation and create similar opportunities for Somali youth.

The scholarship recipients represent not only the cream of the crop but also the future leaders and change-makers of Somalia. Their unwavering dedication to their education, coupled with the support of the Hormuud Salaam Foundation, promises a brighter and more prosperous future for both the individuals and the nation as a whole.

This exceptional initiative not only showcases the foundation's commitment to academic excellence but also highlights its role as a beacon of hope in the community.
