Somalia: Suicide bomber kills six in Galkayo

GALKAYO, Somalia-Suspected Al Shabaab suicide bomber detonated his explosive belt in central Galkayo town, killing at least six people including well-known Puntland official on Thursday morning, Garowe Online reports.

Initial reports disclose that Mudug regional Finance Ministry accountant Said Ali Yusuf (Gadayare) is among those killed in the suicide attack.

Former Galmudug Minister Hassan Rush might have also been targeted in the apparently coordinated terror attack, sources added.

The suicide bomber ripped through a teashop frequented by key figures according to security and medical sources.

Puntland government has yet to release further details on the blast.
