Deputy Lower Shabelle Governor Ali Nur Mohamed told VOA Somali Service that the pregnant mother died in Ambaressa village, some kilometers off former Al Shabaab stronghold, Barawe coastal town.

At least 30 other families are said to be at risk for similar fate if early action intervention is not taken.
