Saudi Arabia condemns Mogadishu beach attack, stands with Somalia

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia - The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday strongly condemned and denounced the Friday evening Al-Shabaab bomb attack at Liido Beach in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, which resulted in the deaths of at least 37 people and injury of 247 people.

In a statement released today, the ministry emphasized its firm stance against violence, extremism, and the targeting of civilians. It also expressed solidarity with the government and people of Somalia in the wake of this tragic incident.

"The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stands with the government and people of the Federal Republic of Somalia in this incident," the statement read, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The ministry extended its heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and the government and people of Somalia and wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the attack.
