Al Shabaab judge was quoted as saying that Hassan Ali Ahmed-18 and father-was convicted of forcefully raping Fadumo Hassan Mohamud, 28 in area under the control of militants.

In late September, militants executed a woman for polyandry in the newly liberated coastal town of Barawe.

Territories acquiesced to Al Shabaab rule have been witnessing mass executions.

Somali Government forces aided by African Union peacekeepers have dislodged militants from key strongholds in central and southern Somalia.
