Somalia: Brigadier killed, another wounded in Somaliland shooting

BORAMA, Somalia, August 11, 2015 (Garowe Online)-Somaliland army officer shot and killed Brigadier, wounding another in deadly shooting in Awdal regional capital of Borama of northwestern Somalia on Tuesday, Garowe Online reports.

Awdal Governor, Mohamud Ali Saleban confirmed the death of late Brigadier Farah Arale and serious injuries sustained by another military official, Hassan Agle Ali on VOA Somali Service.

Saleban said, Ali who is charge of western regiments is in critical condition.

Motives behind the shooting against senior military officials are yet unclear.

Planned shootings within the army have been proliferating as a soldier shot dead a caption in June.
