BELEDWEYNE, Somalia, December 15, 2015 (Garowe Online)-Rival clan militias have again clashed in deadly battle in Hiran regional capital of Beledweyne of central Somalia, Garowe Online reports.

At least four people have been reported killed on Monday clashes while over a dozen others were wounded according to witnesses and officials.

Most of those killed are reported to be fighters. However, stray bullets have also taken trivial toll on civilians outside Beledweyne’s Hawlwadag neighborhood.

Efforts by traditional leaders and African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) to broker ceasefire between warring clan militias collapsed.

20 people have so far been killed and 35 others have been wounded in the old hostility.

Clan revenge attacks and planed raids are feared to be likely spread in Beledweyne countryside.
