​Somalia: Man stabs half-brother to death in Mogadishu

MOGADISHU, Somalia - A Police officer says man has stabbed his half-brother to death in a rare murder in the Somali capital, Mogadishu on Tuesday, Garowe Online reports.

Capt Ahmed Ali, a Police officer said a wrangle over undisclosed issue ended with a 30-year-old man identified Mohamed Abukar, stabbing his younger brother to death in Mogadishu's Bondhere district.

A witness who wanted to remain anonymous said Somali security forces have immediately cordoned off the scene of fatal stabbing around the house, and managed to successfully detain the killer.

The stabbing has sent shock waves through the local community, who described the incident as "horrifying and outrageous", calling on local authorities to bring the murderer to justice swiftly.
