Somalia: NLF meetings resume in the capital Mogadishu

MOGADISHU, Somalia- Leaders of Somali Federal government and regional administrations have kick started on Monday, the National Leadership Forum (NLF) Conference in Mogadishu, Garowe Online reports.

The NLF conference will focus on major issues hindering the electoral process of the ongoing parliamentary elections, recurrent clashes between Galmudug and Puntland administrations and Hir-Shabelle state formation process.  

The meeting is set be the last between Somali leaders to expedite the electoral process expected to conclude on November 30.

Recently, the International community has lamented on the renewed delays of parliamentary and presidential elections and expressed concerns over the political manipulation surrounding the process that might lead to further delays.

Since 1991 Somalia has been trying to rebuild following the collapse of the central government, when warlords overthrew a longtime dictator, plunging the impoverished nation into chaos.
