DHUSAMAREB, Somalia, August 3, 2015(Garowe Online)-The paramilitary group of Ahlu Sunna Wal Jamea has freed six TV and Radio journalists on probation on Monday, Garowe Online reports.

Traditional leaders and the illness of one of the journalists eased the release of the media workers whom moderate Islamists allegedly held for false reporting.

The nabbed reporters including two female journalists work for UK-based Somali channels and FM stations.

Colleagues told the media that Ahlu Sunna released-Mohamed Dek Abdi Mohamed, Bashir Sanka, Abdijamal Moallim Ahmed, Abdullahi Warsame Roble, Nafiso Hirsi Ogle and Leylo Nur Elmi- from a police compound in Galgadud regional capital, Dhusamareb.

The former pro-government militia has long ordered media workers to refrain from reporting on Somalia Federal government and rival Galmudug interim administration.

Ahlu Sunna suspended cooperation with Mogadishu-based federal government and convened a parallel conference at protest of Adado convention last month.
