Somalia: Parliament speaker arrives in Adado for swearing-in ceremony

ADADO, Somalia, June 22, 2015 (Garowe Online)-Federal Parliament Speaker Mohamed Sheikh Osman Jawari has arrived in Adado town of central Somalia for the swearing-in ceremony of Galmudug MPs on Monday, Garowe Online reports.
Speaker Jawari is being accompanied by 10 ministers and nearly 30 Federal MPs on his trip to Adado.
He has attended the swearing-in ceremony at Adado Conference venue, and is set to open the first session of 60-member chamber of Galmudug parliament.
Somali government officials, traditional leaders and cheering crowds welcomed Jawari at Adado airstrip.
Somalia Parliament speaker will also meet community and political leaders over the course of his stay.
Meanwhile, Federal Government of Somalia’s Ministry for Internal Affairs released a schedule, with Minister Abdirahman Mohamed Hussein (Odawa) saying, the election of President, parliament speaker and his deputies will be finalized within two weeks.
On June 17, Adado conference delegates endorsed a controversial constitution absorbing Mudug into central state map.
The move hailed as a step forward in the state formation endeavor by Hussein drew warnings of hostility in central Somalia from Puntland.
Somali ambassador to Ethiopia Ahmed Abdisalan and former National Security Minister Abdikarin Hussein Gulled are among those vying for central state presidency.
