Somalia: President Guelleh lays foundation stone for Djibouti embassy in Mogadishu

MOGADISHU, Somalia- The President of Djibouti Ismail Omar Guelleh accompanied by his Somali counterpart Farmajo have laid foundation stone of the new Djibouti embassy in Mogadishu on Wednesday, Garowe Online reports.
Djibouti ambassador has been working in Villa Somalia, the country's State House in Mogadishu over the past decade after former Djibouti embassy in the capital was destroyed by the civil war began in 1991.
Djibouti President Guelleh said his country is committed to help Somalia rebuild its national army, and restore peace and stability, as it contribute peacekeeping forces to the African Union mission in Somalia (AMISOM).
President Farmajo hosted a lunch event with Djibouti and Kenyan Presidents Guelleh and Uhuru Kenyatta, along with former Somali Presidents Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and Sharif Sheikh Ahmed following his inauguration ceremony.
Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn was among high-ranking officials and key guests attended Wednesday's inauguration ceremony for the new President Farmajo.
