Somalia: Three killed, 5 wounded in car bomb explosion in Somali capital

MOGADISHU, Somalia - At least three people were killed, and five others wounded in a car bomb explosion in the Somali capital of Mogadishu on Monday morning, Garowe Online reports.
A witness said a minibus packed with explosives was detonated near military barrack in Mogadishu's Wadajir district in the early hours in the morning, killing 3 people, and injuring 5, including children.
"The bomb went off and tore through the gate of former candy factory opposite to the General Dhaga-badan military training camp in Wadajir district, killing 2 attackers in the minibus and civilians," said the witness.
There is no immediate claim of responsibility for the car bomb blast at the army checkpoint, but the extremist group Al-Shabab frequently carried out deadly attacks in the capital Mogadish un recent weeks.
Monday's explosion, becomes the second car bomb attack in the Somali capital Mogadishu in two days.
On Sunday, a cameraman working with London-based Somali channel, Universal TV, Abdihamid Karzai was seriously injured when a bomb planted in his car exploded in a market in Mogadishu's Hamarweyne district.
