Djibouti Foreign Minister meets with Ethiopian PM in Addis Ababa

ADDIS ABABA - Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed today met with Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Djibouti in Addis Ababa.

Youssouf carried a message from President Ismaïl Omar Guelleh sharing his condolences to the Prime Minister.

In addition, the two discussed bilateral issues including accelerating economic relations between the two countries and strengthening social and cultural relations, according to the office of the Prime Minister.

Considering regional peace and security, the two also consulted on the role of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) in facilitating stability in Sudan through the leadership of PM Abiy.

Marking the strong relationship between Ethiopia and Djibouti, the visit ended with Prime Minister Abiy and Youssouf planting seedlings in the compound.
