Enough With War - Let’s Celebrate Peace, says Ethiopian PM

Addis Ababa – Ethiopia has marked a milestone by closing a chapter of war and celebrating the conclusion of the historic peace agreement under the theme “Enough with War – Let’s Celebrate Peace”.

Ethiopia has hosted the recognition event in Addis Ababa to acclaim individuals and institutions who have taken part in the process of the Pretoria Peace Agreement.

Naledi Pandor, International Relations and Cooperation Minister of South Africa, former Nigerian President and AU High Representative for the Horn of Africa, former Kenyan President of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta, Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat, Executive Secretary of IGAD, Workneh Gebeyehu and members of the AU High-level panel and members of the diplomatic community are in attendance of the grand event.

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Demeke Mekonnen, senior officials, and Chief Administrator of the Tigray Interim Administration, Getachew Reda have also attended the event.

Naledi Pandor, International Relations and Cooperation Minister of South Africa, former Kenya President Uhuru Kenyatta, and Olusegun Obasanjo have delivered their keynote speeches appreciating the peace process as an epitome of the principle of African Solution to African Problems.
