​Somali soldiers shot dead killer of a Djibouti soldier in Buloburde

BULO-BURDE, Somalia- Somali government forces were reported to shot down a soldier accused of killling a Djibouti soldier serving with African Union Peacekeeping forces (AMISOM) in Buloburde town on Wednesday, Garowe Online reports.

The security forces have tracked down the soldier and shot him dead in the outskirts of the town after resisting arrest on Friday, according to Mohamed Abdulkadir, 21st Infantry Division Chief of Staff.

The body of the slain soldier whose name has not yet been identified was buried in Buloburde.

The local authorizes said a second suspect is being questioned at town's Police custody, and is set to face a trial for charges related to the shooting of the Djiboutian soldier in central Somalia last week.

The Djiboutian soldier has been shot dead by the Somali soldier after altercation with a businesswoman in the town.

Hirshabelle state President Ali Abdullahi Osoble has traveled to Buloburde, on a mission to defuse the tension between the Somali and AMISOM forces over the murder of the Djiboutian soldier on Wednesday.
