Three people have been reported killed in the armed violence as Somalia tries to forge credible and strong army from former clan militias.

The attack triggered gun-battle in Adado where Galmudug authorities are headquartered.

The wounded, estimated to be five, were admitted to a local medical facility, officials and government sources added.

No motives have been established yet, however Galmudug forces have been complaining about lack of monthly pays for the last few weeks.

The deadly incident occurred during salary payments for Somali National Army (SNA) troops.

Despite prevailing calm, the direct confrontation brought traffic and businesses bustle to standstill for hours.
