The airstrikes occurred overnight in Yinbis area located about 15 km away from Afgoye district and targeted Al Shabaab commanders and bases in the area, according to local residents.

Reports indicated that they were casualties among Al Shabaab militants as a result of the attack, however, neither Al Shabaab group nor U.S. has commented on the overnight raids.
