MOGADISHU, Somalia, April 21, 2015 (Garowe Online)- At least 10 people were killed and more than 8 others were injured after a car bomb was detonated at a restaurant in the Somali capital Tuesday, the latest attack by suspected militants, Garowe Online reports.

The car bomb parked among civilian cars outside the Banoda restaurant was detonated by remote control, according to Somali police.

Soldiers sealed off the area as ambulances rushed the wounded victims to hospitals.

No group has so far claimed the responsibility for the attack, however, the al-Qaeda linked Al-Shabab group often carried out such attacks.

The attack comes one day after Al-shabab bombed a UN minivan in Garowe, the provincial capital of Puntland, a semiautonomous region in northern Somalia.

At least seven people including four UNICEF stuff were killed in the bombing which highlight the terrorist group's wider reach in the long chaotic horn of Africa nation.
