MOGADISHU, Somalia Jan 31, 2015 (Garowe Online)- At a rowdy session for  confidence vote in new cabinet, Somali legislators for the second time have approved the prime minister's request for ten-day deadline extension to complete his cabinet line-up on Saturday, Garowe Online reports.

The MPs who initially tried to rally force to start voting for the new cabinet confidence vote have instead voted in favor of the Prime Minister Sharmarke's suggestion after hours of loud bang.

Parliament speaker Mohamed Sheikh Osman Jawari has declared that out of 190 MPs present at the session, 139 endorsed the prime minister's request with 47 voting against the request and four abstaining from voting.

As a result of stiff opposition from the 275-seat-chamber of parliament, on January 17, Sharmarke dissolved 59-member cabinet, clearing the way for the formation of new government in two weeks.

MPs at the time protested the inclusion of President Mohamud henchmen in the lineup.

Farah Sheikh Abdulkadir, Abdikarin Hussein Guled, Hussein Abdi Halane and Abdullahi Mohamed Ali (Sambaloshe) were assigned to key ministerial dockets.

On December 17, following a month-long political infighting and the subsequent ouster of Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed Mohamed in parliamentary no confidence vote, Somalia President named the career diplomat to the premiership.

International community, the major financier of the Mogadishu-based Federal Government is deeply dissatisfied with the slow pace of vision 2016 realization.

Senior political analysts with Garowe Online warn of the extent of personal loyalties in the national assembly.

Southwest State President and former Parliament speaker Sharif Hassan Sheikh Adan who was not reportedly notified of the officials representing his state in the cabinet maintains a visible clout in parliament.

UN-backed central government is grappling with rampant corruption, chronic insecurity, largely in volatile Mogadishu and administrative drawbacks according to diplomatic sources.
