Somalia: Galmudug leader invites paramilitary group for dialogue

ADADO, Somalia, September 28, 2015 (Garowe Online)-Interim Galmudug Administration leader, Abdikarin Hussein Gulled has called on the paramilitary group of Ahlu Sunna Wal Jamea to come to the negotiating table ,and abandon conflict on Monday, Garowe Online reports.

Speaking to reporters shortly after he landed at an airstrip in central Adado town, Gulled asked Ahlu Sunna Wal Jamea to join peace talks in a bid to exert influence over vast territories in Galgadud region.

He stressed that Galmudug regions are in need of stability and development in various sectors.

In early September, Galmudug and the moderate Islamists clashed in deadly battle in Abudwak.

Ahlu Sunna, the most powerful military wing in central Somalia poses formidable challenges to the newly formed administration which is headquartered in Adado.
