MOGADISHU, Somalia Feb 16,2015 ( Garowe Online)- Unknown gunmen killed four people working at Adan Adde International airport and wounded two others in pre-planned attack at Mogadishu’s KM4 junction on Monday, Garowe Online reports.

Witnesses said, masked gunmen in a car drove past a mini van carrying airport staff, spraying them with bullets.

Two wounded staffers are being treated at a local hospital, medics and officials confirmed.

As has been the case, Al Qaeda linked Al-Shabaab group immediately claimed responsibility for the killing of airport workers.

Security situation remains extremely volatile in war-torn Mogadishu where the UN- backed weak central government is based.

Somali government officials and foreigners are targeted in broad day light attacks.

Al-Shabaab lost a string of strategic towns in central and southern Somalia in military campaign by allied forces.
