Mogadishu, Somalia Sept 20, 2014 (Garowe Online)- Federal Government of Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has agreed to the firing of National Intelligence and Security Agency Chief Abdullahi Mohamed Ali Sanbaloshe after lengthy deliberations on Saturday, Garowe Online reports.

In a press statement dated September 20, 2013 and released to the media, Mohamud said he officially sacked Sanbaloshe who had been in charge of the post just for two months from the job.

“From now on, on September 20, 2013 President hereby declares National Intelligence Boss Abdullahi Mohamed Ali Sanbaloshe sacked,” read the presidential statement.

Prime Minister Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed Mohamed said on BBC Somali Service that fired Chief made serious political miscalculations including defamation and abuse of power.

Speculations over infighting between Mohamud and Mohamed went viral on social media and Prime Minister admitted the possibility of standing differences in an interview with UK-based, Somali Channel.

Sanbaloshe, President Hassan’s right hand man who is strongly counted amongst henchmen in Villa Somalia Presidential compound took on the post with Mogadishu-based Federal Government on 9th of July.
