MOGADISHU, Somalia - The President of Somalia's Federal Government, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has arrived in South Sudanese capital, Juba on Wednesday amid deepening political crisis at home, Garowe Online reports.

Farmajo who is leading a high-level delegation is expected to join other leaders from different countries in the African continent in the South Sudanese peace celebrations the war-torn nation's capital, Juba.

The presidents of Ethiopia, Sudan, Kenya, Rwandan, and Uganda, as well as senior officials from the AU and IGAD, are attending the historic event that will take place at the Juba stadium later today, Oct. 31.

Last month, Somali president participated in the summit of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) on the South Sudan situation which was held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia's capital.

During his stay in Juba, Farmajo is likely to hold a separate meeting with the regional heads of state attending the celebrations that will mark the end to South Sudan's five-year bloody civil war.

The president of the world’s youngest country, Salva Kiir who has been in power since independence in 211 and the main rebel leader, Riek Machar inked IGAD-brokered peace agreement in Khartoum earlier this year.

The former vice president, Machar, who was in exile since civil war broke out in December 2013 returned to Jubba for the peace celebrations hosted by his arch-foe, President Salva Kiir.

The two leaders will again join hands to end the warfare that killed an estimated 380,000 people, forced millions to flee neighboring countries and triggered one of the world’s deepest humanitarian crises.
